iTunes- GRRRRR!

OK, people, I need some help before I toss my computer out the window.

I have code for a couple of free songs from iTunes. I cannot, for the life of me, get the proper web page to open up to input the code. (It’s supposed to be www.iTunes.com/redeem) Everytime I try, I get the secure/non-secure page warning- “do you want to continue” thing, and when I click yes, nothing happens. What do I need to do to get these songs?

The link worked for me Vitus. Wonder if it is a security setting in IE? Maybe try setting IE back to defaults?

Do you have ITunes installed on your computer?

If not…you need to start there. Then the link with open within the ITunes client.

Do you have ITunes installed on your computer?

Yep. Another guy in the office here just tried to open it up, and he can’t do it either. Maybe it’s a network issue here. Nuts.

I cant use most music sites as most require a modern form of Windows…XP, 2000 etc…my 98 wont cut it
.

Last but not least…open iTunes…

then click on your link…I know when I just clicked on your link it autmatically took me to iTunes (that was already open on my computer) and it gave me a page (within iTune not a browser) to put in the code.

I am working on Windows XP

I know- that’s why I’m trying to do it from the office. Home computer is old, Windows98 stuff. Invariably mangles any music download. Office computer has latest greatest Windows.

Have you considered using a mac?

Well…not to get you in trouble, but you have a few options.

You could set-up a virtual connection to mask your surfing IP to the company.

Can be done either through Hopster or GOTOMYPC.com…although I would imagine your IT folks have their IP blocked.

Better yet, give my your Coupon Code, tell me what songs you want…and I could email them to you.

;o)

Have you considered using a mac?

Oh, you’re hilarious, that’s what you are.

I give up. I’ve tried everything. So much for that particular free lunch. And now I’ve got this stupid iTunes software on my computer for nothing. Dang.

I will bet the site is blocked if you are work. Most IT people are not too interested in devoting bandwidth for your downloads:) Get back to work slacker

Most IT people are not too interested in devoting bandwidth for your downloads

That’s only because they’re hogging all the bandwidth for their stupid Doom games, or whatever it is they play these days. Dorks.

Nah, well maybe your IT people, some of us are streaming the tour and surfing ST
.

instead of tossing your computer out the window, i know how you can keep your computer, solve your problem instantly, and all for $1.98.

I would bet they are blocking MP3 sites and or streaming audio…common.

**i know how you can keep your computer, solve your problem instantly, and all for $1.98. **

Ah ha ha ha !!! That’s even funnier than the suggestion to get a Mac. You’re killing me, here.

Who wants a couple of free songs?

Send me the codes, let me know what you want, I will get the songs for you.
