I noticed that the 120km bike course has about 9800 feet of climbing. I usually ride my 9.9 SC in tris but would this course make sense to maybe ride my 2010 Cervelo S3 instead(forward seat post with clip ons)? Trek SC 9.9 - 21 lbs or Cervelo S3- 16.5 lbs. Any thoughts or suggestions for this course?
Also, does anyone have the exact computrainer course for the 120km bike leg?? I’d really like to ride the course a few times on my computrainer before Nov 5th if possible.
I appreciate any advice and suggestions.
Cheers
I can only speak from doing full Silverman course … but 9.9 would be my preference. Climbs are long/steady and typically moderate wind as well.

Would you recommend a disc/90 front or disc/60 front? Are the crosswinds pretty mild?
Thanks
I’ve ridden 808/808 … not many discs typically but clearly some of the pros have used disc rear. Winds can be rather severe and from all angles. I don’t know what the exact ITU course is … but if you come back to town on the bikepath, be sure you know about the 3 sisters before race time … they are 3 supersteep upgrades on the bikepath that will certainly catch your attention.
Good luck
Dave
I think the FULL silverman course had that much but I’m pretty sure the ITU course is less than that.
Here is the best I’ve found. MapMyRide shows only around 3500 which is likely way way off…
