After having undergone a bankhart repair on my right shoulder last Tuesday I’m spending some time with my folks - a smart move that my sister convinced me to take as I was completely useless for the first 3.5 days, and am now only marginally less so. I’m back to work (remotely) from chez 'rents, doing a very slow hunt-and-peck with my left hand.
A buddy of my dad’s called me earlier this AM to tell me that he was dropping by with a chocolate cake that his wife had baked for me.
NICE!!!
Yeah, so I’ve only got 1 arm for a while and my shoulder was hurting last night/this AM because I tried to go off the painkillers a bit too soon. Still, I have a pretty good life.
I’ve taken this period of extreme inactivity where my caloric needs are barely above BMR - and especially the first few days of drug induced near coma and nausea to reduce both my food intake and my stomach’s expected portion size. It seems to have worked as I’m down ~10lbs from what I was clocking earlier this year.
The trick is to keep it up and continue the trend now that I’m feeling better…
dude, I have enough “reserves” too back-to-back-to-back deccas.
I need to get out of my “fat pants” and back into the regs, if not the skinnys.
Then package up that cake and all subsequent gifts from well-wishers and send them my way! I’m having trouble keeping myself at race weight and could use the help.
