It's gettin' dark-Headlight recommendation

As it’s getting darker earlier, I’m looking at getting a good headlight. Nothing too crazy expensive or fancy, just something that does a good job. Anybody have a strong recommendation?

We had a couple of good threads on this last week. One for super expensive lights and one i started for economical ones. I dislike telling people to search, but try looking up theese threads, good recommendations on them.

Any little LED light will make you visible to other traffic but will not illuminate the road / trail very much. If you’re looking to see whats in front of you you’re going to need one of those fancy / expensive lights and then still they aren’t that great when you’re going over 20mph or so. I have a Nightrider Classic that I love but only really use it for mountain biking, I use a cheapy AAA-battery powered LED for road riding so I’m visible.

Thanks Jim. I’ll check it out. People around here get a bit touchy if you re-hash the same topics. So, for both of our physical, mental and emotional well-being, I’ll just search the post and read up. Thanks again!

After some recommendations from other threads, I purchased the NightRider Minewt X2 from REI. It was $30.00 off, and the small profile fits nicely
under my aero bars. It throws out an unbelievable amount of light. At $149.00, I couldn’t find a comparable option for a Lithium Ion LED. I am very
happy with the purchase.
