As an aside, I think that NPR loves doing Mitt Romney stories because it gives them a chance to broadcast all the in-fighting and cannibalization that is taking place in the religious right.

But how could that be? NPR is publicly funded, they are not partisan.

That’s not surprising - born agains are protestant, no, and they seem to have a nominal monopoly on Christianity. However, they still have to compete with every other religion on the planet to see whose actually not going to hell.

I meant he was cast out of Heaven for trying to usurp God (allegedly).
The Pope needs to go back and read his Bible instead of focusing on church tradition. It is a shame when groups promote their church instead of seeking to reach people for the kingdom of God. Jesus heavily criticized those who made it hard to enter Heaven…what is so hard to understand about these verses?

“If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved”

I could go on and on. The church is not the denomination you belong to, but the group of individuals who have put their trust in Jesus as Savior.

True. However, (for example) as a non-Catholic I sometimes listen to a Catholic radio call-in show, and I often get frustrated because they nearly always focus on things like how many times to kneel in the mass, how many candles should be lit, etc. Makes me want to jump out the car window. IMO they should use the broadcast to answer real questions about eternal life. There are millions who are suffering, lonely and hopeless, and instead we focus on man’s traditions. I don’t get it.
