I hope 06 IMMOO gets this and not that.
This sort of reminds me of IM Europe in Roth in 2001 (the last year it was an official IM). It had been warm and sunny all week long and the morning of the day prior. By the time I was lined up for the bike check-in on Saturday afternoon the winds were so bad they told us not leave or T1 transition bags down because they were blowing all over the place. We were to put them in place the next morning. People were trying to cover up their bikes to protect them from the coming rains. A German guy who had his bike racked next to mine said something like “Every year, Every year this happens. It was beuatiful this week but tomorrow the weather will be shit, just shit and you watch, on Monday it will be beautiful again”. It rained on me and was cold for almost the entire 180k of the ride and by Monday morning was clear, sunny and in the low 70F range. I guess mother nature knows how to really throw a test of endurance at us
