In our household it’s scissors and scotch tape that never make it back to where they’re supposed to be.
Daughter - it’s her AirPods. Which are still missing
Son - it’s his wallet. Which he usually finds (thankfully).
My dad joke on this is that they can find it in the last place they’d look. Literally… so just go there.
Anything and everything. It is not that they go missing. It is just that they are hiding in plain sight.

That is the main reason I have not bought air pods. I know I would lose them. I’m sticking with my $30 knock offs for now.
For me, I seem to have a skill for losing expensive sunglasses. Lost a few $200+ pairs. I’m not sure precisely how many, as I have lost count ;-).
My health insurance card. I request so many replacements a year, I’m surprised the company hasn’t started charging me for them.
Sun hats for our kids. I always buy two at a time and we still lose them.

It’s worse when you only need readers so yo7 don’t wear them all the time. My solution has been to buy the three packs at Costco. For the record I own 12 pairs, scattered around the house, my business and my truck. I would buy some of those strings to hang them around my neck but I don’t even have grey hair yet, not sure I want to look like an old man
I wore glasses for 30 plus years. Never ever lost a pair until we had our first child. Not long after, whilst putting her in the car I put them on the roof, then got in and drove off…
Usually its documents of some sort that my wife has filed in some completely inexplicable location
I have put a pair of scissors in just about every room of my house. And I still end up searching for a pair half the time.
I can never find my RoadID. It’s rare when I don’t have to go hunting around for it in amongst the pile of crap from my last workout. Maybe I should just stick with a single sport to reduce the number of piles of crap.

Same here with the reading glasses. Drives me crazy. I found a pair in the garden the other day. They fell off the top of my head when I was weeding and I forgot to pick them up. I buy the 3 packs too and still I will go to work and realize I have no glasses then have to borrow my husbands (work at the same school).
My smallest chihuahua. She finds the smallest crevices to hide in and we can never find her. In my house it’s a mandatory head count before we leave the house and we always end up spending 5 minutes looking for her.
My daughters spelling list seems to constantly turn up missing along with her shoes. But she sure can seem to locate my candy stash no matter where I hide it.
