Bosu Ball, one leg balance squats… box squats… all about getting the butt/hips stronger, nothing else will fix it.
I deal with it every day. Protec IT Band helps tremendously, recommend it while you “fake it till you make it.”
Regarding the knee strap - how well did this work for you? I have tried a knee-like brace before, but it didn’t help at all. I am getting pretty desperate. I can only run a max of about 24km a week right now, and never longer than 5-6km. Before the end of the year in October-November, I could run 15-21km no problem. Been trying to sneak in some mileage @ 10% per week or so. Some days its okay, some days I have to bail out early, and some days its only a problem just at the end of the run.
