My Garmin now won’t calibrate to my stages powermeter while on the computrainer. Yes, I know I’m making riding the bike a very complicated task…anyways…any ideas for calibrating my Stages to my garmin…
Is it detecting multiple power meters? I would take the bike off the computrainer and calibrate the stages pm with your garmin, then put it back on the computrainer. You get the same issue trying to calibrate in transition race morning.
Are we talking “Calibrate” or “Pair?”
Because your stages doesn’t really need to be calibrated every ride. Still, a screen on your garmin should pop up with an option to calibrate the PM pretty much every time you start a ride.
New to the power game…is that necessary for it to do that every ride? It hasn’t in the past, that’s what’s weird.
Are you using a heart rate monitor as well…it won’t pair if it is searching for the heart rate monitor. Either wear the hr so it finds it or tell it to notsearch for heart rate and then it will find the stages.
At least that is how it works with my set up…although I rarely use the garmin with computrainer…seems silly.
I had an issue calibrating stages to my Garmin. The issue turned out to be the Garmin looking for my heart rate monitor. It looks for the heart rate monitor first and then the power meter. I do not use my heart rate monitor on the bike but had accidently selected heart rate monitor while I was changing some settings.
