ISM Adamo Race not for me?

I bought a new complete bike about 6 weeks ago with an Adamo Race saddle. During the fit, it seemed fine, but my body is not taking to it. I have read that there is an acclamation period, but it is really painful. It hurts on the “sit bones” where the pressure is supposed to be. My question is; should I have gotten used to it by now? Might the Cobb V-flow be better if I am experiencing comfort issues? Thanks.

You should try different angulations of the saddle and try to sit a little forward or backward on the saddle, to feel if you manage to find a position less painfull.
You have to be patient, last year it took me more than 500 km to feel nearly Ok on this saddle !
With my new bike and new position this year, I feel perfect on it. But the sitbones have to “learn” to be pressured !

Scoot forward on the saddle; thats why you can slide the saddle all over the rails and they won’t bend. Then, if you keep sliding off the nose of the saddle, then tilt the saddle nose high. I did this, and I’m golden.

yes, front edge is level, or better yet angled upward a tad (counter-intuitive)sp?)

can’t sit on it like a conventional saddle. gotta put sit bones on the ends and let the taint hang off.

That last bit is the key de comfort.

What about the Adamo Typhoon? A LOT softer!

When I first started, I had similar issues. I went out on 2 rides with an allen wrench for the sole purpose of saddle fit. Stopped 5-6 times each ride till I got it just right. I have never looked back since. I have ridden ism race on road bike and tri bike over 100mi.

I agree with everyone on here. Gotta sit forward on this thing. I made the mistake of trying to sit back on the wide portion too. That’s just not how the saddle is designed to be ridden.

One thing that is often overlooked is the shorts. Where are the seams located? Are the seams between your sit bones and the saddle? Are you sitting on top of the seams for the pad? I had problems with my Adamo Race until I discovered this. For me there are only two shorts that work. DeSotot Forza and any LG with their TriAir pad. Forza + Adamo = Steep and comfortable ride!

For me that saddle was evil. I could not take it. Even my eyebrows hurt after riding on it. I threw it away. Don’t give up, keep trying different angles. It may work for you.
