Outstanding show of respect and class from this young man. I didn’t know about it until I read the article.
As someone who enjoys sports and appreciates acts of sportsmanship - great job to Devin Gardner and to OSU for reminding everyone what he did.
Oh, and as a FSU fan - can I say that I wish we had a QB who made us proud?

That was very cool. As it was happening my old man and I both commented on great it was to see.
I wonder why the letter came from an OSU satellite school? Good acknowledgment of true sportsmanship nonetheless.

As a Spartan, I hate all thing Wolverine, but I’ve always respected Devin Gardener. He has taken a beating in that offense the last few years and been as tough as nails. His game a regressed but Michigan fans pile way too much blame for the inept offense on him.
Say what you want about his performance on the field, he is a class act off.

Thanks for the link to the article. I have never heard of him until I read the article I linked to. I am a fan.
I hope he has a wonderful post-football life and continues making a difference in people’s lives. I wish I had the chance to meet him in person.
It was from a satellite campus and not the main one in Columbus. . . .
He was muuuuuuch better last year, so I think you should modify your statement to:
Class act
QB who had a terrible season
.

I’m sure a similar hand-written letter by Urban Meyer was eaten by his dog.
