Is there lubricant in Jagwire housing?

I am curious if there is any lubricant in the housing? Is there any reason to add lubricant?

In the process of installing cables I have run the gear and brake cables through the housing many times. I have a bunch of extra housing and was thinking that now I have the correct length figured out I would just use a new piece.

Does anyone oil cables before installing?

i have always heard/read to put a drop or two into the housing end before inserting the cable, but i don’t know how necessary this is.
