I am looking for a breakdown on teams , bikes ( frames ), shifters , wheels , tires , seat. What they use, I found a few team pages with photos , Campy only site lists stage winners with Campy gear, But thats it .

My local bike shop had a periodical that had exactly what you are looking for, however I don’t remember the name of it. It was basically a $5 magazine that served as a guide to the TDF. I’ll check next time I’m there unless somebody else knows.
cyclingnews.com has a “Bikes of the Tour” or something like that which I believe covers much of what you are looking for.

ProCycling Magazine had a “free tour supplement 2004” with all this info in it. I think their website is procycling.com or procyclingmagazine.com. You might be able to request a copy from the publisher or the contents may even be on their website.
So far no luck , cycle news ? cyclo news said they would have something listing bikes/ teams/ gear/ components, one the smoke cleared from the tour reports.
I looked at the other sites recommended, NO RUCK as they say in japan.

I think Velonews had a similar supplement with all that same info. It might be easier to get off their website. At the very worst, you could contact them about the possibility of getting a copy sent to you.
