Is there a market for an '01 tri bike (650 Kilo) with '05 wired PowerTap Pro?

Hoping to get an idea if it’s worth it to sell or bettter to keep as my trainer/backup tri bike. Going with 700 setup for a new bike.
Help me out if you please, all thoughts welcome.

What if anything would you pay for…

2001 Kilo, 650, Size 55. 9spd Shimano. Some minor upgrades of drive train. Extra stems, basebars and aeros of all sorts could be included.
Never crashed. Raced 15-20 times Sprint to Half. Well cared for but has it’s share of dings.

Pic in my profile.

PT is built into a Velocity Deep V (Wheelbuilder). 24 bladed sapim spokes, silver.
Also has a wheel cover from Wheelbuilder. I added decals to the cover which peel off.

Demerly Review from 2001:

Another great feature of the Kilo is size flexibility. The Kilo is available in two versions: A 700c wheel version with a 76.5 degree seat angle available in sizes 55cm., 57cm., 59cm., and 61cm. This suits taller riders with a longer femur bone. A 78 degree seat angle version is available in sizes 47cm., 49cm., 51cm., 53cm., 55cm. and 57cm. This suits a rider who needs more advanced triathlon geometry and tends to slide forward in the saddle when using aerobars. A good set of accurate body measurements will determine which geometry is correct for you. This flexibility in sizing means the Kilo is available in a size and frame geometry that will fit many riders. One qualification I would make about the Kilo is that the top tube runs on the short side. If you have short torso it may be an easy fit in the correct size. Longer torso riders can make do, but will need a longer stem in almost every case. I have longer torso and ride a 55cm. Kilo. I had to retrofit my bike with a 120mm stem. This made the reach measurement perfect and did not affect the handling.

I see bikes like this go on craigslist (here in DC) for ~$700 pretty regularly - I’d imagine the pt would bump that up a few hundred, though you might find that people looking for an 8 yo bike don’t really know what that is/how to use it (making them unwilling to pay extra for it)

maybe try to sell pt seperately or get it relaced to your new 700c wheel?

I’ve done a bit of looking around for older bikes. I’ve found that they are a good buy, but not too easy to sell. I started with a '95 Klein Aeolus with 8-speed Ultegra. I sold it in '08 for $400 with an upgraded carbon fork. It took about a month for sale in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to get $400 with very little interest. This year, I bought a '99 Litespeed Tachyon with 9-speed Ultegra for $700. I probably paid a bit too much as it was for sale for over a month before I looked at it and he admitted I was the first to actually test ride it. I paid it because it was exactly the bike I was looking for and it was in excellent condition. I think in general 650 wheels are a turn-off for most people.

I’ve checked ebay and it looks like similar Kilos have sold recently for $400 - $600. I also know that a couple of months ago a PowerTap Pro with disc cover sold for $415 on ebay.

If you’re interested in selling separately, I may be interested in the PT wheel and would even be able to trade in a set of DeepV wheels to keep your bike complete.

How many spokes in the rear powertap wheel?

24 bladed spokes.

I added some other info to my initial post.
