Is spring upon us in the northeast?

Went for an amazing brick in the palisades this morning, just over the GW bridge, wearing tri shorts and a craft shirt…no gloves, no jacket, no balaclava, no wind proof pants, no foot warmers, no double socks, no plastic bags on my feet.

Not sure if anyone else was out, but how nice was it in New York today. Cant wait for it to be 60 and sunny everyday.

Just wanted to share the joy.

don’t be stupid. No.

No. We are getting more snow on Monday here in Connecticut. At least we have nice weather coming tomorrow!! Brick in shorts while you can!

We better not be.

Aaron, the weather dude on channel 4 said those of us in NE CT will be waking up to a small coating of what crap on Monday. Sounds like a dusting, but still, doing back to the OP’s question, it’s a far cry from spring.

I am in the SE. Groton.

just today, it was mid 60s in philly. “sharing the joy” heh. everyone and their brother was out on my 10 mile run today. i really wish those damn walkers and so called cyclists would get off skukyll river trail, they have absolutely no ediquette. people walking in 3s to block up more than half of the lane, so called cyclists (the pretend athlete ones riding under 15 miles/hr) swerving in and out of the groups, gay roller bladers were checking me out and not being discrete about it, people trying to race me but get burnt, little kids on bikes were just as bad as the adults, old people would walk in the middle of the path then as i pass them they would move closer to me no matter which way i decided to pass.

oh but the weather was good, too good.

The cold weather definatly keeps the rif raf out. lots of leisure riders taking up my space on the road today. Even had one person try and stop me to ask for directions back to NYC.

Yeah, I was out there today too. Must have seen 1,000 cyclists on 9W. Lots and lots of tri bikes too.

Yeah. My calendar still says March, which means at least 2 more feet of snow before the end of the season - at least in upstate NY. In light of the pleasant 40F today, I tried my first road excursion of the year. Dirt, salt, and shitty drivers made sure it was a short one. Needless to say, my fluid2 wasn’t lonely for long.

It is pouring rain here but I heard thunder for the first time in… 6 months? It’s pretty nice. The snow in the parking lot is gone. We worked like Russians to get rid of that.

Yup. We made it. It was like Stalingrad for while here.

Your report from a Maine island: 40* yesterday and today. Rode outside today. Not yesterday as there was rain/wind.

Today was great. If only the weather were here to stay.

Just did laps in CP. Ended up dressing a bit too warm due to getting caught out in the cold last weekend.

I love Pittsburgh, PA.

On the other side of the country, here in washington I have heard people say if you don’t like the weather wait 10 minutes it will change. This was true today I went out for a ride about 10 am.It was sunny low 40s and seemed to be getting warmer. Halfway through my ride the wind starts howling and chunks of ice pellets are flying out of the sky.By afternoon it was slushy rain and I can see a new dusting of snow on the hills near my house. This is definitely early spring weather here.

Nope sorry,
