Is my saddle height too low?

Hi. I have a picture of my riding position in this link http://allanhovda.blogspot.com/

After trying The Pyrenees Stage on RVL without a good warmup (not a very good idea), I started to feel some pain just bellow my kneecap, on the front side of the knee. The pain is decreasing when I am jogging and increasing when riding the bike, even with high rpm and low resistance. Is my saddle height too low? Other tips to get rid off and prevent the pain from coming?

I am very thankful for every answer

Allan

I would say that you are a little low but I would look at your cleat position first. Your cleats look too far forward.

Not sure about your position, but you need a haircut.

Haircut is already done ;-D
.

I think you look fine. If anything…you might even be a HAIR high, particularly if you move your cleats back, which you should.

If you’re actually pedaling in that picture (as opposed to posing) than I don’t think you’re too low at all.

No, your saddle height is not too low.

Maybe move your cleats back a bit?

Thank you for your opinions

I am not pedaling on the picture, but i guess it looks pretty similar. I am going to try moving the cleats back.

Any opinions with the kneeproblem?? Just take it easy and pedal with low resistanse and high rpm until the pain goes away?

how long can you hold that position?! THat is incredibly low and aero!

I am pretty new on the bike and triathlon in generally so I dont know how long I can hold it. My longest training session on the bike lasted 2h 15min and I hold my position 98% of the time. But I cant hold my head in that position for that long so I look down to avaid stiffness in the neck. I must say i feel quit comfortable in that position. I tried with a shorter and higher stem without any success. I got tired in the shoulders after 5 min.

First off, nice wheels!

Second off, move those cleats back. This is likely what caused your knee pain.

I like the wheels also. I am racing Norseman Extreme Triahlon (www.nxtri.com) 8. august and think the wheels are going to be perfekt in the hilly course.

Yes, the cleats are going to be moved back asap. What about the pedals? They are the Shimano R-540 spd-sl and not exactly top of the line. Can other pedals be more friendly to the knees?
