Is it Safe to Eat Wild Bird Eggs I Found in a Nest Outside?

I cracked one of the eggs open yesterday afternoon. Inside was a sac made of blood vessels and goo surrounding a small flesh colored blob. No way I was eating that, it was pretty gross. I put the nest up in a tree and left it. This morning, it was lying on the ground and both of the other eggs were cracked open on the ground with ants all over the fetuses.

The End.

What would Bear Grylls do?

Go back to the hotel and talk it up with the guys over a crantini.

Leave those eggs alone. Let them turn into beautiful birds.

I agree. Birds taste much better than eggs. Also, more filling.

They clearly weren’t bird eggs, but some kind of creature made of blood vessels and goo.

Because outside commercial hatcheries and farms, it is rare for a bird to lay an unfertilized egg. Possible, yes. Probably, no. But hey, nothing like killing birds just cause you’re bored.

EDIT for spelling.

I disturbed the nest when I was cutting down the bush it was in. If you know a way I can convince the Mama and Papa bird to come get the eggs and hatch them, I’ll listen. I’m not killing birds because I’m bored you ass.

It’s a shame for them to go to waste I think. I once shot a pigeon in the front yard with my BB gun and my dad made me eat it. He said if you’re going to kill something you better be ready eat it.
Your dad know Jeffery Dahmer too?
