I emailed someone earlier this week and haven’t heard anything back. Are they closed?
i would think so as it is a small family run business.
I think they are.
Zipp and Ritchey are closed as well.
I’m on the wrong side of this business… I should be in the Caribbean right now.
They’re missing out on the sale of the century; I want those aero brake levers. Had they stayed open this week they could have gone on an exotic vacation with the massive profit from this sale. They’ll be kicking themselves for years to come, well, until 2007 when I can place my order. Thanks guys.
i have a set and they are awesome.
Do you have just one or both levers? If one, which did you do, front / back? I never had a problem with my road bike and clip ons going down hills but with my tri bike I’m not nearly as confident bombing down hills so I figure its worthwhile to give them a shot. Do you think they work well as a brake or are they simply to help control the speed so you don’t end up at high-speed-death-wobble speed? A review I read said they don’t have the same gripping power of a standard lever. Did the cable junction device (what ever its called) cause any problems with the normal levers / braking function?
i have just one. I have it placed with the back brake. It helps me bleed off speed when I need it. There definitely not alot of gripping power as small lever, but enough for what I need. The Splitter works nice and not difference in other brake action
I sent an email to sales this morning at 5:00 East and had a reply by 11:00.
J-Tek (jtekengineering.com) is the manufacturer of the Hed lever. For some strange reason, I think the Hed one is actually less expensive though. Also, J-tek makes a clamp-on model that Hed doesn’t have (yet), which I like better (if I were to use a third brake lever).

Its too late now, have to wait until next week
but did you send to a general account or a specific person? Mine was to our rep, maybe he took the week off.
I’d seen the jtek but having a HED account was why I was leaning that direction. I like the look of the clamp on lever. I’ll have to really study on my bike to visualize which will look cleaner.
I would have liked to take the profit & go on vacation to the Turks & Cicaos, but I’m the Cdn. HED distributor & you’re in the US ![]()
