Currently riding a Cervelo P2SL and am considering buying a Planet X Carbon Stealth. Can’t find much of any tech. specs on the PX to confirm, but believe it to be an upgrade to my aluminum Cervelo.

All PX owners seem to praise the frame here on ST
It is an upgrade to go to carbon
I can’t argue with the price quoted

I think the downtube is more aero on the P2SL
Cervelo seems to be the king of aerodynamics
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
PX is a great brand, but so is cervelo, so don’t change just because some people are praising one brand or another. Pick the one you like the most.
What makes you say carbon is an upgrade? In some cases a great aluminum bike can be just as good or better than a carbon bike. Just because everyone on this forum claims carbon is the new gold doesn’t mean anything.
Just so you know, the PX has external cables, while I believe the cervelo has internal. One is easier to work on, the other is more aerodynamic. Choose what you prefer.
What year is your cervelo? How comfortable are you on it? Just remember the old saying “If it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it”.
If your cervelo works for you, don’t upgrade just because that is the cool thing to do. Go buy some nice race wheels. Or, what the heck, why not go invest the money?

So?
Nonsense.
Only if the price is $0.
What’s wrong with the P2SL that the PX might fix? What’s with this “upgrade” fixation?
I own a p2sl; it is the first bike I have ever purchased and only real machine I have ever owned. Having said that, if I where to buy another bike, I would definitely want to test ride it before making a purchase just because if I am going to upgrade, I want to upgrade to something that I KNOW to be much better, opposed to hearsay weight/aero numbers.
