I am unfortunately not surprised… the lake has looked very brown for the past while
I think I know the answer, but at this point the chance of refund/transfer credit is basically nil?
I just drove past it today and thought it looked really brown. Can’t say I’ve noticed it like that before.
That lake is like 60% geese shit though. I feel like they have algae warnings more often than not these days.
Well I am here in Victoria so now so I guess I am doing a duathlon, but if they offered me a deferral to next year, I’d probably take it, but at this point I won’t train much more anyway than the catered training day duathlon. Kind of sucks because I literally do 7-8 hrs per week of swimming and the other “half” is bike and run!!! But that’s sport and travel! See ya’all at the Victoria Duathlon!
On a plus note, had a nice exploration loop around the north part of the course on Thu afternoon after getting off my flight. It started to get busy on West Saanich road (as I was told it would), so I cut across the peninsula and came back to Sidney where I started:
I did see orange markings on some of the course!
