Registration opened today for IM Oman. I’m seriously considering this race, but am surprised how little information is on the site. No substantial info about the course, hotels, timeline, etc.
Also concerning is the posted air temperatures: High 55F/ 19C and Low 46F/ 14 C. They’re not converting correctly- how can this be missed? But which is correct? I suspect the C temps are accurate. Can any locals confirm?

I’ve signed up yesterday without having seen any course maps, but imho there are not countless options for the bike leg, I guess they will double the 70.3 loop.
Regarding temperatures: Google says 19 to 27 deg.C, water up to 25, generally dry weather.

Hey I’ve done the 70.3 a few times so I can help answer any questions. Obviously the course isn’t finalized yet, but assuming it’s similar to the 70.3, I’d suggest either the W hotel (expensive) or Intercontinental (slightly less expensive). They’re basically right outside of transition so makes life easier.
I’ve previous stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton which is a 5min car drive away, so if you want a cheaper option and don’t mind dealing with the commute then that’s not a bad option.
The temp is pretty accurate in C. Pristine condition for this time of year!
