Ironman moo 2008

Does anyone know when the online sign-up for this is?

My **guess **is the internet scrum for the spots will begin Monday A.M.

This is definately something you’ll want to confirm. I think we’ll see a rapid sell-out if the weather conditions for this year’s race a little gentler.

Entry Procedure for 2008:

Athletes registered for the current year’s event can register for the following year’s event on the Saturday before the race.

Athletes can only register themselves.

Registration will be from 9-11 AM. This timeframe will be for athletes only, so they don’t have to worry about the next year’s registration or stand in line after having raced.

Day after registration will be only for people to register themselves, they will not be allowed to register a friend at all at any of our events in the future. Anyone can register themselves at this time.

Whatever is left for general entry will be done via Active.com usually opening at 11 AM local race site time.

Take a flight here and register in person. It will be sold out on monday just with onsite registrants. In person is the only way you will be able to do this one from here out.

Don’t forget there are a few qualifying races you can do to get a spot…or drop $1,000 for a Community Spot which never sell out very fast (I believe). After the tax deduction, may only be a few hundred more than general entry, and if your heart is really set on doing the race it’s an option.

You are probably right and it sucks to be me right now. I live within 45 minutes of Madison and had every intention of signing up for next year. Now I have a meeting scheduled to start at 9:30 and I suspect it will go all morning at least. So I can’t be there in person and the chance of even trying to get on line is remote. I do have another friend going up but of course they can’t register me themselves.

You will get in online don’t believe all the BS have a good connection and be ready to go at 11 and you will get in. Even IMLP took 10 minutes to sell out. That is what I am planning if you don’t get in just do one of the qualifiers. 225 bucks another race and you don’t have to give NAS sports a interest free loan for a year.

I live outside of Madison and I had every intention of signing up on monday but I have to push it off for another year for famnily obligations. I am just going to do more HIM’s instead. Easier to train with family…for now;)
