Are the new 2006 Cervelo’s ALL going to have the Ironman logo on them or will it be limited to one series like the Dual only?
Also, when should we expect to see them out???

I actually think it would be cool to have the IM logo on them.
Ack! Now I run the risk of becoming a poser when I buy my TT bike (probably going to be a dual) this winter.
Noooo, don’t do it Gerard! Major poser material!! Actually, I hope Cervelo puts them on all the P3s, so when I go rolling by I can have myself a good chuckle…
I can’t see why’d they would spend the money and not put it on all or at least most of the bikes.

I hope not. I think Cervelo is a strong enough brand not to have to slap a m-dot logo on their bikes. I think it will hurt their brand more than do good.
There are countless of examples in Marketing where brands try to over-extend themselves which ultimately hurts the bottom-line.
Why would they pursue the licensing if they were not going to apply it to their product?
how do you know the Duals will have it on them? …are there pics out?
So that P3 owners could go around telling everyone that Cervelo invented the Ironman.
I think there is a difference between being part of Ironman vs. plastering your products with m-dots. I intentionally avoid any product with an m-dot. Ironman is a small portion of what their bikes can be used for, why limit your products to such a narrow demographic. The only company that the m-dot worked and works for is Timex.
I vote no to m-dot anything on a cervelo. Makes it pure poser material…even if you really do IM’s!
I’m with you, Tom.
Then again, I wear polo shirts WITH A POLO PLAYER logo, but don’t play polo. I guess that makes me a polo poser in some people’s books.
Whatever.
I’m a poser as well since i have an m-dot logo’d timex watch.
Great training watch because it was dirt cheap, small, takes splits and saves them and I don’t care what happens to it. If it gets some water in it from doing laps BFD. I’ll not take my polar HRM into the pool to tick of lap times because I know that it takes just a little h2o to mess with the internals there…

There is ZERO chance of any Cervelo having the mdot logo. While Cervelo is the ‘official bike’ of IMNA, Cannondale is the official Ironman licensee from WTC and is the ONLY bike company that legally can use the mdot. It’s a confusing relationship…
Gerard: Please don’t.
