I signed up for the new Ironman Israel on Nov. 25 in Tiberias. If you are able to recommend a good bike shop in Tel Aviv and/or Tiberias that should be able to help with the assembly and disassembly of my tri bike (Cervelo P3), would you please let me know? Thanks.

It really is tragic as I’d like to go back there some day.

When I was there I reached out to a couple of bike / tri clubs and got hooked up with some great people who were extremely helpful and kind.

How am I trolling? I’m legitimately frustrated that the biggest race organization in the sport I’m a part of condones Russia but puts a race in another oppressive country in the same week. It’s called consistency. Don’t just use the word troll when you disagree with someone. That’s just lazy & deflects from a race organization putting a race in a country that has displaced people from their home. If more people were upset, instead of indifferent because they can choose to be, then maybe Ironman wouldn’t be able to do this.

I may regret responding but here goes. You are not just trolling, you also don’t know what you are talking about. Firstly, the Moslems in Israel (around 1.5 million) are the only free Moslems in the middle east. Free to vote, have religion freedoms, free to chose their sexual partners, go to malls, hospitals, etc. (do you know what happens to a gay Moslem in Saudi Arabia?) Secondly, I will just quote Bibi and leave it at that and if you don’s understand it then go do some research. Bibi said,
“If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more ‎violence. If the Jews put ‎down their weapons ‎today, there would be no ‎more Israel’‎”

Yea. I’ve lived in actual apartheid South Africa -whatever is happening in Israel is not apartheid.
