Ironman france (1)

Hi,

Sure someone can help! I have been on the new IM France site but it does not give very much info on the bike course, but I am sure I have seen rumours that it is relativly flat and not like the old course(which I did back in 2000)

cheers

glenn

there is a profile online. Col de vence is left out, but still some climbing going on

Where exactly is the profile? I have not been able to find it on the IM France site. All they are saying on there is that there is 1500m of climbing.

From the Race Information and Application brochure:

“The (bicycle) course is not very difficult - anybody could do it even on skates. The climbing altitude is about 1500m.”

sorry for the change in topic … but does anyone know how (or with whom) I could coordinate bike shipping from the race back to Canada? I was planning to travel for a few weeks after the event and don’t want to find myself lugging a Trico case across France.

You can use DHL, pre book and pay with an agent in the US and it is cheap. I just sent my bike from Spain to Singapore via DHL and it was 122Euros inc storage for 3 weeks and insurance for $7K
