Ok who’s in? This will be IMF #9 for me and #4 for my wife.

This will be my first Ironman looking forward to it and what the day brings.
First IM for me. Nervous about the swim, but excited for the whole experience!
I’ll be there. It’s my first, and now that the taper has began the “Oh $h!t this gonna happen” feeling has started. Any secret taper rituals to help with this?

I’m “ALL IN”!! First IM… can’t wait!
Friends / training partners are talking about attending the Welcoming Dinner… y’all that have done this, is it worth it or a waist of time?
If it’s your first you should take it all in. The food is ok and it’s a good time with the vibe and the entertainment. We will be there.
The food at the dinner is not good. I would eat before hand and just go for the experience. I don’t know about bringing family and friends. I would leave it up to them. It is extremely crowded.
For those who hope to finish while it is still light. Here is the sunrise, sunset, twilight data for PCB on November 5th. I would be happy to finish before dark.
Twi: 6:35am
Sunrise: 7:00am
Sunset: 5:54pm
Twi: 6:19pm
Day length: 10h 54m
I’m in! First Full! Hoping to make it before sunset (to the bar that is).
First IM event for me! Bonus to have one right where I live; my apt is 1.5 miles from Bayfront Park.
Hope you all enjoy your time in the MIA.

I’ll be there too. Hope it’s not as cold a start as last year. We’ve been swimming in 42 degree air temps lately in preparation!
