I had a pretty good day at Chattanooga and really enjoyed the course and city. The course was both fast and challenging which is kind of a tough combo to pull off in my opinion. I would definitely go back.
Congrats on a great pr
.
congrats, did you grab a kona slot?
Congratulations. I remember your bike when I was doing the bike count.
No kona slot. Slots went to the top 4 men 30-34.
great job, remember seeing your bike thinking it was the best looking SC out there. Red shoes on pink bike are a no-no though ![]()
Congrats on the day!
Agree on the red shoes! I love specialized shoes though and they dont give us any damn options on the s-works line… Wish i could get them in another color! Thanks for the compliment on the bike. I think it turned out awesome!
OMG! your bike is REALLY pink!
your bike has the MexPost color theme (hot pink and neon green). LOVE that combination!
Congratulations on a great day!!! Your goal watts and mine are very similar. What is your height/weight?
Congrats on the race and your bike is kickass as well. My wife was complaining about how my black 2014 SC 7.5 looks like all the other bikes, to which I mentioned there was a pink P1 SC that would be really noticeable. Still didn’t get the thumbs up to go buy a new bike.

I am 6’4 and raced at about 183 pounds

Let’s just say my wife had substantial input into the color scheme…but it did turn out awesome!
Your race day was so similar to mine that it is striking. Not in final time, but in how I felt throughout the race. I’ve been pretty hard on myself about my run not materializing as I wanted, particularly at the end, but your post made me feel better. I feel short of my goal, but it was still a good result. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reading. That marathon course was no joke. Anyone who kept it even remotely together on the back end of that thing has my respect.
Congrats man I could not imagine going 9:46 with no Kona. I did the race and loved it. I only wish the current was more like the Waterfront Tri they have in June because the swiftness takes away from what I consider the perfect course. The crowd support on the run helped so much on that second lap when the legs were burning.

Going into the race I thought 9:45 would give me a pretty good chance for a slot. The bottom line is guys are fast and getting faster. Definitely not disappointed though as I gave it my best that day. The crowd support was awesome. Really great course. Enjoyed the venue and would definitely go back.
Great job! Great looking position!
How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

Thanks very much! Position courtesy of Dave Luscan of DL Multisport. I am 6’5, 183 on race day
Congrats on your race. I had the exact same race experience in MT as my first IM. Felt great on the bike then the last 5k hit and my legs were trashed with mostly downhills remaining. I’ll be ready next time!!
You and me both. I see lots of hill repeats in my future!
