IMC fans please rally support for Steve king being appointed Master of ceremonies at
Ironman Canada again. Mike Riley did a nice job but Mr. King’s preparation , voice
and delivery add so much to this event. This greatest race in North America is owned by a very
honorable Canadian family that we know will do the right thing if we just give them a lot of
encouragement . Please make this request to any web site or phone number that might help
and please spread the rally intensely around Penticton.

Steve announces at all of the BC Interior Loppet cross country ski races and he adds an element of panache to the event that no one else can. Even if there are a few dozen spectators at an event, the fact that Steve is there announcing makes it feel so professional and personalized. Even outside of the triathlon world, Steve has become the standard in event announcing/MCing.
I thought Mike Riley was “The Voice of Ironman!”. If so, then he should stay on, right?
This stuff gets sort of silly. Both of these guys are great announcers and have done fine jobs at IMC … I’ll be pleased with whoever is chosen this year, whether its Mike’s 3rd time or Steve is back again. I think there are more significant issues.

My family deserves to listen to the sincerity and gracious hosting of Steve King .
Steve is great. especially in Canada. hope Mike will let it go
