Best timing company in the world!

.

2832 people started the race? And to think 10 years ago when there was 1000 less I thought the course was crowded.

Interesting comparison - 2001, 1985 starters, 1839 finishers, 92.6% completion. It was pretty hot that day too IIRC.
2011, 2832 starters, 2598 finishers, 91.7% completion.

I would have expected a much higher DNF rate 10 years later due to the changing demographics of the sport.

Damn, that’s pretty freakin’ cool.

Rhodsey had a 1:05 T1? Damn…

Updated with official results including Kona Qualifiers.

Steve I agree

Actually things are going to change with results at WTC in the coming months.

Even if Sportstats is not timing the mainland events in the USA in 2011 we are still involved with all Canadian events and Kona until 2016. I had a chance to meet the new CEO of WTC in August to go over the last 10 years of results and how everything is done.

So the tracker will not only be the only way to get results from now on. We will introduce facebook, twitter, email, sms results options at events. Spectators will be able to receive updates other than the tracker. In fact in Louisville Email and SMS was tested with few hundred spectators.

Iphone/android apps are in the plan as well to get instant results, live comments, video etc…

Mr. Messick was very open to changes and understood that the current services provided via the http://www.ironman.com web site are oudated.

yours seems (STATS)
to be what others are compared to. We have become Very comfortable reading your STATS!
Thanks!

Mark - great news. This is the direction that everything is going. Good to see you and Sportstats staying on top of it.
