Yeah,pretty choppy swim and messy with lots of age groupers around from the 70.3 and then Ironman on the second lap.
20k to go and Riddle is wondering “WTF is happening” as his world gets ugly.

Ya, he really belonged at the T100 race today, perhaps he will get more permanent wild cards going forward. Save these full distance races for 3 or 4 years from now…

I agree…He lost an insane 7minutes in the last 20k of the bike. The tracker has him sitting in T2 as people pass him to strt the run
So Jamie is 10min behind at 1.3k. I hope he just recovers for a while and enjoys the atmosphere for a while.

Yeah,major blunder on her part.
This run is just epic for both the men and women. Jackie doing what we said she should do and bail in Hamburg to win in Cairns. The mens race has more comebacks than Easter Sunday. Matt Marquardt comes back from major cramps to ride through the field and probably to the win. Can Nick Thompson hold him off after leading for the last few hours? Riddle blows up like a nuclear bomb on the bike and loses 10 minutes only to turn it around and run through the halfway at 2:36 marathon pace. Matt Hanson comes from nowhere to be running 2:25 marathon pace going from 14th in T2 to a projected podium. Madness!!

Being confined to a cruise ship and spending 30+ hours on a plane is probably a forced taper for Marquardt compared to his daily life

Yeah,they will be commentating from the same feed as we are.
I have to say that, for me, the commentary from these three guys has made this race the best Ironman coverage I can remember.

I gained a lot of respect for Jamie today. Sure he mouthed off over the last few days but he died twice today and still stuck it out to a 4th place. Super entertaining race today.
Interesting observation though,the number of viewers on the YouTube channel has dropped by almost 1,000 since Nick Thompson finished 2nd. People are turning off instead of watching the Pro women finish
Wow. I wrote off Marquardt after seeing he had cramps again. Just woke up in the middle of the night and saw he won. Incredibly gritty performance. If he can get the cramps figured out, he could be a top 5 threat in Nice.
