Brazil is underway…Olaf is in Second 30k into the bike. No sign of frenchie in the top 10 yet. No athlete finder today so I don’t know his swim time.
And go Olaf and Jaylew!!! And my 10 clubmates and pal Nino!! Sounds like it’s going to be a hot day.
Go Vinnie!
Olaf told me there is another website besides imlive that is covering the race live. Anyone know what it is?
Supposedly http://www.atletas.info/chocolate/coberturas/im_bra_05/index.html, but you need to know Portuguese.
i just wanted to post the same link
but i couldn’t find any split times on that page too
.
times are up

Last I saw, Olaf was over 5 min down on Oscar Galindez. Zeiger had about a 6 minute lead on her closest rival. The men should just be finishing the bike in the next 30 minutes or so. It should shape up to be a very exciting race, if the two guys run close to what they ran last year…
My money is on Olaf. When he ran by me last year he was like a man possessed. Talk about a thousand yard stare, he can really push himself and dig from deep within.
Francois is cool. I hope he has a super good race. I like that guy.
Olaf is leading
.
GOOOO ______________!!! You are my pick to win!!!
GOOOO ______________!!! You are my pick to win!!!
not a chance
they just posted the first 215 bike splits, but I couldn’t find Francois anywhere in there
Update:
Estamos en condiciones de desmetir tal rumor y afirmar que OG está manteniendo una diferencia de 5 minutos.
I think this means OG, maintains a 5 min lead.
back and forth, quite a race
.
THE CHASE IS ON
Oscar Galindez leads the Ironman in Brazil, but Olaf Sabatschus is coming back - now just 3:30 from the lead -gaining two minutes in 19 kms.
07:30
Muito Bem, Monk!
And Olaf is a really nice guy to hang out with to boot.
Aren’t all Olafs?
