I heard a rumour that there will be an Ironman in Boise in June 08? Is this new news?

For hills, it depends where they race. Boise is in a valley with small mountains surrounding it. They could take you up to Bogus and if they did, there would be a lot of DNF’s. As for heat, it can be very hot in June, I’ve seen it over 100 but it’s probably safer in June than July, where you could be up to 105.
I’m not sure they would give a second IM to Idaho though.
Of course NAS won’t put a race in Boise, given that they have IMCdA in June, but what about WTC?
I heard it will be a 70.3 and will be the first week in June. Any later and it would just be too hot. Could be fun.

Boise would be a great location for a race. It’s a beautiful city.
For what it’s worth, the domain name ironmanboise.com was taken earlier this week and bought by none other than IronmanLive.
Of course the 70.3’s carry the name “Ironman XXX” so no telling if this is a 70.3 or full.

Interesting G2. I punched in ironmanutah, ironmancolorado and ironmanidaho and found similar results - although it shows they’ve owned these domains for years.
That would be cool, but I’ll bet it’s a half. I think that if Idaho got two WTC-affiliated full IMs all theCalifornia triathletes would revolt.
I believe that WTC ownes a whole bunch of ironmanxxx.com domain names, and has for years.
