I’m in Phoenix tomorrow and considering riding the IM course but I was wondering how busy the roads are on the course ? Can anyone help me figure our if I should do this ride or something else ?
Our plan is to do the Tortilla flat ride first and then do either the Usery Pass loop or one IM course loop.

Do Usery Pass. Far more interesting.
The lion’s share of the IMAZ ride is on the shoulder of the Beeline and just
not that interesting. Save it for race day so you’ll have something to
look forward to seeing new.

Agree with the above. If anything, ride up the Beeline just to get a feel. The rest, well… ride in your favorite hometown on busy streets and you’ll about get the picture.
Go out to Tortilla Flat and then on the way back go over Usery. At the bottom of the hill, hang a right and go up around Saguaro Lake. This will take you to the Beeline which you can then ride back into town. Bring plenty of drink/snacks, as there isn’t many spots to stock up.
