To all those contemplating or doing IM OZ, Australia is a great place to visit, the locals come out in droves to support the event and the weather is great. The cons to doing races in Australia is that Triathalon in Australia has so much drafting its not funny. I have seen many posts on here about drafting in North American races and all I can say is that you are doing more about it than they are in Australia.
I have had the privilige to live in the US and race and compared to my time in Australia most races in the US are not too bad. Yes there is drafting but no where near as bad as you will see in Australian races. So if you don’t like drafting then Australian events will dissapoint you.
