I’m not sure where you are getting me going back to results in 2022. Lionel beat Jelle in April. Quite handedly. It’s going to be interesting to see how Jelle competes on in Taupo - I think that the LLV course was set up very well for his stature, and while he was IMPRESSIVE to watch (I was there - he was fucking amazing) the truth of Jelle’s year is that he lost pretty big in the other 3 middle distance races - 5 minutes to Mika Noodt, 3.5 to Lionel in Oceanside, and Bitados and Leonard Arnold beat him in Tallinn. So…I’m not using 2022 results to predict the future. IW is a pretty predictible course however, as it’s generally not too crazy variance in conditions.
And…please note repeatedly that I said Morgan is showing signs. Over and over - I am making the argument that talking about a T100 wildcard with any certainty is premature. I’m sure he will get there. But it would be great to see him bike with the big boys - and T100 is 20m so even more important to be strong on the bike.
