Other than NBC coverage in November, and actually flying to Kona, how will we be able to watch all the action? Will there be some obscure satellite channel that will cover it or will I have to wait until NBC airs it in November.
www.ironman.com will give you live feed online free of charge. Pretty good coverage, too. I think most people tune in and check out the action in-between workouts, errands, etc. Of course, if you want to sit in front of your computer for 17 hours, more power to ya!

I just finished editing the NBC 2006 championships, took out all of the sad stuff and commercials. Now its just watchable action, 100% tear free.
Perfect for that hour of downtime before my long workouts. Very inspirational when I hear that Macca is running a 6:46 mile at mile 20 in the marathon.
Reading my previous thread, I dont want to discount the value of the John Blais Story and all of the other inspirational people that were in the coverage. Those guys are the real heros. Team Hoyt finishing Ironman is so Awesome! I hope to aspire to their levels someday.

Yes, I can post it. I will have to compress it down to DIVX or XVID. I guess XVID is a free codec so I will probably use it.If anyone has a preference.

The edit reduced the two hour coverage to a little less than an hour. I made an attempt to compress it down to a downloadable size but the audio sync was off so I will have to iron out that issue before.

Probably. Nothing wrong with doing that for your own use (even sending it to a few friends) but to post it probably violates copyright law and the WTC protects their copyright very vigorously. As soon as they find out (if you do) I suspect you will receive a registered letter.
