can you qualify for ironman wisconsin or ironman canada? for the 2004 races? i know they are filled up, but i couldn’t find anything on the ironmanlive.com website.
i thought i heard that you could, or am i just loony in the head?

Go to http://ironmannorthamerica.com/ and click qualifiers. I don’t know if it’s updated for 2004 yet.
There are a couple of qualifying races here in Ontario for Ironman Canada. In fact, the 1/2 IM I did last year had 20 spots and they weren’t all taken. So, if you finished the race and wanted to go to IMC then you got a spot. I’m not sure if it will play out the same way again, but that’s what happened the last 2 years. That race is the Peterborough 1/2 IM in July by Subaru Canada. The other one with qualifying spots is Muskoka long course in June, but I think it’s tougher to qualify with that one. In fact, I think Muskoka is a qualifier for a bunch of Ironman races. Take a look at http://www.trisportcanada.com/

I have been waiting for IM NA to update their website since December. I check that site darn near everyday. I want to qualify for IM-WI, but have no freak’in idea what races have slots. Here it is Feb 11 and we still don’t know. I just want to know if there is a race that I can even consider with my work schedule. If not, I will choose a different race.
