Iran on verge of disaster

What will this US intervention be?

Nothing.

Iran protests continue with at least 29 killed, 1,200 detained, activists say - ABC News

What will this US intervention be?

How do we know that our involvement is not ongoing on the streets? Regime change engineered back in '53 worked for awhile.

Iranian internet is down

Things are a changing

Have they accused the great Satan and Zionist yet?

They did it to try to hamper the protestors

I read reports that Iraqi and Hezbollah militias had crossed the border. They’ll shoot when Iranians wouldn’t fire on their own.

This is the non-political side @Thom …please remember that

Cuba could well be next as cheap oil from Venezuela stops flowing. Tourism is falling off a cliff as people are worried about getting home. Rolling blackouts resulting in hotels etc having no power. So another source of revenue falling off a cliff.

Sadly, and based on what my Persian friends have shared with me, it is unfortunately a horrible situation at the moment, with no end in sight. Thousand have lost their lives in 48 hours, with reported numbers ranging from 2-20,000, thankfully, all my friends have reported that their friends and family are safe.

It feels like the verge of revolution or a humanitarian disaster.

I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise.

TACO donny backs off on his Iran treat

Oil prices fall after Trump signals he could hold off on attacking Iran

Luckily it seems most protestors did not file back out into the streets (and likely to their deaths) in the belief that he was going to do something to support them.

It takes awhile for the Carrier Battle Group to move from the South China Sea. In the past It was a given that hostile actions needed an onstation carrier.

I’ll see if I can find the article I read but it basically said that due to advances in drones, standoffs, and range of attack aircraft it’s now just a nice to have

Yes my take as well but comfort level does play with the flags even more so given other Centcom assets are still preoccupied elsewhere.
ETA: one and done like last attack maybe not needed to support but rhetoric from Iran has attacks on shipping and a quick escalation. Last I checked the Hormuz is as critical as it has always been.
