IPod Shuffle jet fuel

Out of desperation for some new tunes for my shuffle… what is the one song on yours that gives you that shot of ‘jet fuel’??

Secret Machines - Lightning blue eyes
.

This will help…

Just recently put together a new list of the favs, a sampling of which includes:

AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Nine Inch Nails - Head Like a Hole (Live version from All That Could Have Been)
Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls (Live version with San Francisco Symphony Orchestra)
KMFDM - Juke Joint Jezebel
Drugstore - Stabbing Westward
Leave You Behind - Lunatic Calm

Ramstein’s Du Hast could lead to a heart attack (or could lead you to shave your head and buy black combat boots)

Fall Out Boy - I Don’t Care is a good one as well, just a bit more mainstream than the others mentioned.

All but AC/DC is available on iTunes.

Tenacious D’s Tribute
.

That is the greatest and best song in the world…tribute.

Thanks for the suggestion so far! As a girl - the super hard stuff may be a bit much but I am open to all kinds of music. For example, two of my favorites om my shuffle are Smashing Pumpkins “Zero” and the chase scene song from “Slumdog Millionaire” - very different!

Maybe some of the ST gals could chime in??

chiming in, but probably won’t be helpful - my mp3 player is stocked with motorhead, zimmer’s hole/strapping young lad, ministry, fear factory, sepultura, dimmu borgir, children of bodom, coal chamber, etc…i like tunes that don’t fook around

cheers!

Find when I do a search for irish rock there are always a few that get me going. Man they are a angry bunch, LOL.

just about anything off Bloc Party’s “Silent Alarm” (Banquet in particular) … anything off The Rapture’s “Pieces of the People we Love” … Most of LCD Soundsystem … “Me and Guiliani Down by the School Yard” by !!! …

Here is my 21st century solution to building great play lists. (I can call them great 'cause they are put together by professionals)

  • Check out some great ‘action’ DVDs like Warren Miller ski flicks, Mountain Bike videos ( I like 'The Collective’s films)…surf videos…whatever floats your boat.
  • Get the music credits from the package or at the end of the movie
  • Log into iTune Music Store and sample the tunes…sometimes I don’t like the cut that made the disc…but there are others down the list
  • Click, Click, Click

Presto - a state of the art playlist that will likely help you discover some new bands and is hip enough to be played in front of teenagers.

This is a great way to get past the 20-30 (40?) year old music that fills too many playlists

Too Funny! I think I saw a few of those dudes floating in the pool this morning.

“The Ecstasy of Gold” theme from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly lifts me like no other… when the soprano kicks in, it’s like my feet grow wings and I can barely feel them hit the ground anymore. Even late in a long run, it’s still good for a half-mile or so of free juice. After that, though, you fall back to earth crawling in the desert like some of the other scenes in the movie.

Nike even ripped it off for one of their ads not long ago, although they bastardized it with some extra urban beats.

“Name of the Game” - The Crystal Method
.

two of my current favorites

Drown in the Now - The Crystal Method
Survive - Rise Against
