I guess it’s been through testing. But if any pedal ever looked wrong to me, this is it.
what abooot this one
.
The kickstarter ones have some float. Tririg does not.
I tried those and ended up returning them. After a while, mine kept producing an audible sound on each pedal stroke. No amount of cleaning the sleeve and spindle would resolve it, and I could only assume it was the cleat rubbing against the edge of the pedals during the pedal stroke. Happened with both pedals.
Reminds me of my old Aerolight pedals from the late 80’s.
My concern would be the cleats on a road shoe… Since there is no tread like a mtb shoe, I’d think it would flatten out or even fold every time I set my foot down at a stoplight. I could be wrong, but I’d hate to be in the middle of a 100+ and not able to put my foot back into my pedal.
This is the one you want.
I wonder if those are any lighter than the latest Looks…

looks like yup:

again, no float, and you have to practice more to get the tiny cleat opening on the spindle.

I had meant to include the link, but must have forgotten it. Here. What’s the offering from Look?
112g for the pair, including cleats

Oh crap. Well you should probably let them know, because they claim 0.5 & a 5.0 degree float options.
pretty cool.
last thing I would want to know…
friction-facts.com! haha
They’re busy. Eagerly awaiting Februarys offering, cassette choice & cross chaining I think.
thanks for the link; i see they do offer 5* float.
based on some reports of the tririg pedals, it seems that contamination inside the ‘body’(barrel) makes it crunchy.
i wonder if the same would happen to the infinitys.
i like that it uses the standard 3-hole mount; much better than the two-hole spd.

i heard scott tinley loved aerolites so much that when he heard the company was closing down, he bought a crate of pedals and cleats off them.

I can dig it. Hate the video though. Took way to long to show an angle where you can see the engagement.
This is the one you want.
Any bearings?

I remember reading a “tinley talks” in the back of triathlete in the 1990s, and he mentioned one episode in a public bathroom with his aerolites clamping down on the toilet flusher… Pretty funny article.
