Interested how self-coached athletes plan their training

  • Goals are set sometime in mid-winter. I plan 2/3 SUP races, and 2/3 Sprint Tri’s.
  • Garmin Forerunner 55 is only tool.
  • Success? 4x IM finisher (3x sub 11hr.). Countless 1/2’s sub 5. Racing since 1986.
  • No major changes since I bought the Litespeed in 1994… Then added pair of Zipp404’s.
  • Planning takes as long as it takes to read daily weather forecast.
  • Read some Tinley, some Scott, some Maffetone awhile back. Recently read some Attia, but it mostly sounds like Maffetone again with all of zone 2.
