Has anyone successfully installed an SRM on a P3C? I’m finding that, because of the oversized bottom bracket, it’s hard to get the powermeter sensor close enough to the inner edge of the plastic cap on the inner chain ring. Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.
I have always mounted the sensors on aero bikes using double sided velcro rather than the rubber band. The aero seatube makes it impossible to get the sensor in close enough on the stay. I put one side of velcro in the appropriate place near the bb shell, other piece on back side of the sensor (need to remove neoprene pad). I have seen other people do a similar mount under the bb or on the downtube.
We recently installed an SRM on a P3C at our shop. The trick is to get SRM’s mountain bike mounting kit. It has all 3 sensors seperate, which makes it easier to place and mount. Hope this helps .
Thanks for the responses - very helpful. Henry, did you order the 3 piece sensor directly from SRM’s website? If so, how quickly did they get it to you? I’m in New Zealand, so it’s not quite as simple as strolling down to the nearest SRM dealer.
