Regarding the original post, you might be thinking of Vittoria! by the OperaBabes. They played this just before the cannon went off in IM Canada in 2005. The song in and of itself isn’t anything special, but linked with the emotions of IM before the start, you can’t hear it and think it’s “just another song”.
hard to go wrong with a little Leonard Cohen now and then.
Punk Rock with Bagpipes, e.g. Dropkick Murpheys, The Go Set, The Real McKenzies, Flatfoot 56, ACDC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top”. I wish there was more.
I like “fanfare for the common man” any major symphony orchestra will should have a recording of this song.
“requiem” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra,
“Training Montage” by Vin Di Cola, it is from the RockyIV soundtrack, where rocky is training in Russia.
The Ironman 2005 soundtrack is awesome, I have found a few of the songs, what one are you talking about when Faris is pulling off the bike?
One of the times they had a solo shot of him riding they were playing Linkin Park.
Some other songs from the '05 Ironman
Wonderful Night - Bubba Sparx
Miracle Drug - U2
Feel Good Inc - Gorrillaz
Another Linkin Park song
I dont have my iPod in front of me, let me get back to you. I wish there was a website to get all the songs.
