Insoles in bike shoes?

I have been noticing some pain in my right arch (possibly some PF?) after riding on my indoor rollers for 1.5-2hours and was wondering if a good cycling insole would possibly alleviate the pain? I currently wear the Scott Tri-carbon shoes and they are about 2 years old and I have the insoles that came with them. On a side note, I do not have the pain in my arch while running. Any thoughts/recommendations would be much appreciated, thanks!

I went to road runner sports and they made me custom molded insoles. So far they feel awesome. They were 85, not bad for custom. If they have a store near you, you might wan to give that a try. Another option is the specialized insoles.

I had the same problem last year and a pair of $20 in-soles from the running store solved my problem. I bought the thinnest pair they had so my shoes would still fit.

Thanks for the advice, I will give it a try.

You could also look into superfeet. They make a specific insole for the arch style of cycling shoes.

I actually just got an email from my team about this today. Jeff Frame from Ball State University works with e-soles to create custom footbeds. http://www.bsu.edu/biomechanics/cyclingservices/ is the website. Not sure if this helps, but the info is out there.

Aline. Available at fine bike shops and smart race expos like Timberman http://www.alinesystems.com/?Page=winHome

Superfeet gray (or is it grey?). Very thin - works with cycling shoes I
have two pairs and think they are better than what comes with SIDI shoes. David K

x2 for the Aline insoles, haven’t used the red ones yet but the blue one are great for my cycling/tri shoes.

I am using Specialized BG inserts with the Vargus (varus) shims. I had a BG fit trained employee do a fitting and we killed a few birds with one stone. Better cleat alignment, arch support (proper for cycling-not the same as running), knee and ankle alignment. It was a dynamic test. Spinning on the bike and adjusting cleats and Vargus shims and even seat height.

I have BG INserts in all my cycling shoes and Vargus shims too.
