Inside Tri - Bike Cases and Rental Cars

I was quite surprised to read Kyle du Ford’s comments in a recent issue of Inside Triathlon about having to rent a giant SUV in order to fit his bike case into the rental car.

I’m not sure what kind of bike case the Inside Tri editor is using. But, Trico Ironcase fits very nicely into the back seat of a four door compact. In face, you can actually fit two Trico Ironcases in the back seat of a four door compact, which we did one summer when flying to a few races.

Anyone else wondering what Kyle du Ford is using for a bike case? I am guessing it’s a soft sided case on wheels, or maybe one of the older (larger) Tri All 3 cases.

I don’t know what bike case he’s using…but why do Triathlon magazine editors always have to be so into themselves?

I think it’s ocmmonly known that KDF is far from an expert on anything tri related, and most definitely suffers from the affliction that smitty8 mentions!
