has anyone used this service and is it worthwhile? if not, what are some other suggestions for shipping to a race? i’m heading out for IM-CDA in June and was debating between shipping and flying with the bike. suggestions?
It depends on how many hassle’s you want to deal with. I’ve been involved with our expo’s since we started in Lake Placid 2001 and we’ve gotten the process worked out to be as easy on you as we think we can.
Being the official retailer for the IMNA races allows us to be at the race site and provide you with convinient and professional service. If you choose our Full Service Shipping option your only responsibility is to ship your bike to the race. After that we take care of everything, receiving the bike, unpacking and tune up, storage of your bike case the week of the race and return shipping. After you are done with the race you can walk your bike out of the transition area and drop it off at our tent the same night and not have to worry about it from there.
During the week of an Ironman if you can remove any amount of stress I would recommend it, this takes a pretty big burden away before and after the race.
If anyone has any questions regarding this I’d be happy to help you can contact me directly via email kyle@insideoutsports.com or on our toll free number below.

I have used the Inside-Out service at the last two IM Wisconsins. The people were very nice and the bike was tuned & ready to pick-up a few days before the race. The part that makes the service REALLY worth it is after you finish the bike. Once the time limit is over for the bike stage you can have you’re friend/spouse just roll the bike over to them and that’s it! No having to worry about getting the bike back before midnight & hobbling back to you’re room and then boxing it up. They do a great job of packaging the bike in the bike box.
