I’ve had several blisters forming at about mile 20 on long runs for a few years now. A friend who does ultra-running said she swears by the injinji socks that have individual toes on them. Anyone here use them, are they worth trying?

Thanks.
i use them for long runs and have never had an issue. takes some getting use to and if you have long toes they can fit funny. i used them for IMAZ and they worked perfect.
After getting blisters between my toes in races 1/2IM and longer, I figured to try them this year…three 1/2’s down and NO BLISTERS! They take an extra 30 sec or less in T1 or T2 but I figured if I don’t have blisters on the run I can make up the 30 sec up pretty easily…
YMMV,
Paul
Love them!
The first 2 times I tried them, I thought they felt funny.
Now, I use them pretty much every run I do. Longest run in them was 30K.
The Badwater runners use them as well. (Helps that Injinji is a sponsor of the race)
I used to use them, but have recently trasnsition to Wigwam Im socks with some blister pwoder my run store recommended. I like the Injin’s a lot, don’t get me wrong, but they were very warm socks and my feet sweat a lot in them.

I use them for almost all of my long runs, especially trail runs where my feet are sure to get wet. I swear by them. I’ve always had trouble with blisters, but these plus some Blister Shield have solved most of my issues. They’re definitely worth the $10+.
I use them for all of my long runs and trail runs, and love them. Haven’t used them in a tri yet, but may in an upcoming HIM and likely will at IMF.

is it me or are those cankles?
I haven’t used them for my long road runs, but on my longer trail runs, the Injinji’s are great. I sweat profusely, and with running in the South, my feet are soaked within the first 5-6 miles. I always had blister issues before, but never since I started using the Injinjis. Never tried them in a tri, however.
I definitely use them for all my long runs. I’ve been using them for about 4 years now. I used to get horrendous blisters on the inside of my big toes from rubbing against my 2nd toe. They are a bit harder to put on at 4:30am when things are fuzzy, but I still chose to even use them at IMAZ for the run. The extra seconds to sort the toes out to put them on was definitely worth it.
My only complaint is I’ve had a few pair fall apart faster than most socks. The seam at the anlke has come undone leaving a big thead maze/mess in the washing machine! I need to get a new pair or two and re-evaluate as all the ones I own were purchased 2+ years ago. Regardless, I’d still pay for them because I cringe at the thought of a long run without them.
Thanks everybody. I’m going to buy some and give them a try on my next long trail run.
