Anyone out there ever run into this issue ? If so, how did you treat it ? Thought I had a hernia, ended up with a kidney stone, but am still having low abdominal pain just above the groin area. Found some info about Lloyd’s Release Therapy, but looks expensive and am not fond of surgeries.
It’s worth seeing a sports doc. There is a relatively wide differential diagnosis for pain in this area and you want to be seen by someone well-versed in these things. People who come to my endurance medicine clinic with similar complaints often want to immediately jump to the diagnosis of ‘sportsman’s hernia’, which is kind of the diagnosis du jour. You don’t want to do that because 1) it isn’t that common in real life and 2) it’s difficult to treat.
(Disclaimer: I’m a sports doc, and I’m advising you that you should see one, not providing medical advice.)
