The swim was cancelled at IM Korea this year? What happened?
What is IM Malaysia like? Their website is terrible. Any comments on the event? Lankawi Island?
Im pretty sure there was some type of storm/cyclone that forced the cancellation of the swim in IM Korea.

Apparently the off-shore typhoon at IM-Korea forced the harbor police to close the entire harbor. I read something about it, I think Paula NF had a race report I saw online. They started a duathlon, I guess leaving by race number at like 5 sec intervals, at the time the swim would have normally finished. By the way, PNF won adding another Ironman victory to her record.
I’m thinking about giving it a go next year. We’ve always wanted to visit Cheju-do. The Cheju location is much better than the east mainland location they did a few year ago. It is a very popular vaction spot. My wife is Korean and her mother lives in Seoul, so any excuse to travel to Korea is fine with her
