I have used it during the summer on long bike rides and don’t recall having any problems. I like the product and certainly am not knocking it but recently during my long training runs I seem to have noticed this problem. When I go out for 2 or 3 hour training runs I put bottles of it out along my route. I mix it up the night before and give the bottles a couple of good shakes before drinking it. I don’t have any problems during the run but about 3 hours or so later I seem to have an incredible amount of gas. It is down right uncomfortable not to mention somewhat embarrassing. So much gas is being created, I think I could single handily solve the energy crisis. Another 8 hours and it all seems to be gone (along with everything else in my system).
I know when I mix it up; a lot foam will be created. Could this foam be causing a problem in my digestive system as I run (and bounce along)?
I know a lot of others out there swear by this stuff and I was wondering if anybody else notices a gas buildup after an extend use.
Any thoughts?
